About International Pashtun Jirga Day
Pashtun Jirga Day International marks the beginning a conference (jirga) of tribal elders. Each year the tribal leaders in the Pashtun regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan come together for a four day assembly to make decisions for all the tribes through consensus for the upcoming year. Today is the date this year�s jirga begins for domestic issues. We were unable to find videos on this custom but a loya or peace jirga was called in the fall of 2013 and that history is included.
