About the Academy Awards Oscar Concert.
The Academy Awards is spicing up the award�s season by adding a second event to the annual Oscar film awards on the Thursday prior to the telecast. It is a Concert featuring the works and music of the year�s nominated composers. Whether this becomes a regular feature is yet to be seen. The five original nominated scores will be played in their entirety by an 80-piece orchestra conducted by each nominated composer.
