About National Etiquette Week
"National Etiquette Week came about in 1997 to improve focus on the status of civility in our society and revisit the customs and traditions that define us. Etiquette has become somewhat of a lost art in the United States. Often considered a set of rules, etiquette is really about the golden rule: do unto others and you’d have done to you. It is about treating people with respect, observing boundaries and having a set of protocols to use in unfamiliar situations. This week is an opportunity to learn new processes of etiquette and try them out on your family, friends, strangers and coworkers. Your mother will be so proud!
